Paul McCartney announces ‘Man on the Run’ soundtrack album

Paul McCartney is one of the most famous musicians in the world. Many people know him as a member of The Beatles, one of the biggest bands in music history. But after The Beatles broke up, McCartney had to rebuild his life and career. A new documentary called Man on the Run shows this important time in his life in a simple and emotional way.

The documentary is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville. It focuses on McCartney’s life after The Beatles ended and how he created a new band called Wings with his wife Linda. The film uses rare footage, old recordings, and personal interviews to show how McCartney changed as an artist and person during the 1970s.

The breakup of The Beatles was very hard for McCartney. At that time, he even thought he might never write music again. The film shows how he slowly found confidence again by making new music and building a new band. Over time, Wings became very successful and helped McCartney prove he could still create hit songs outside The Beatles.

The documentary will first be shown in cinemas worldwide on February 19, 2026, before streaming globally on Prime Video starting February 27, 2026. This means fans all over the world will be able to watch it online after its cinema release.

The story is not only about music. It also shows McCartney’s personal journey. The film explains how he stopped trying to escape from his past and instead focused on building his own voice, family life, and future. Director Morgan Neville says the story is really about a person trying to find himself again after huge success and pressure.

Along with the film, a companion album called Man on the Run – Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack is also being released. The soundtrack includes famous songs from McCartney’s solo career and from Wings. It also includes rare or special recordings that fans may not have heard before.

During this decade, he formed Wings, released many hit songs, and proved he could succeed on his own. The documentary also shows how his relationship with Linda McCartney helped him emotionally and creatively during this time.

In simple terms, Man on the Run is a story about starting again. It shows how even one of the world’s biggest music stars had doubts and struggles. But with hard work, creativity, and support from loved ones, he was able to build a new chapter in his life.
