Legendary rock band Rush have announced a special reissue of their 10th studio album, Grace Under Pressure. The album will be released as five different Super Deluxe Editions on Friday, March 13, 2026, giving fans many ways to enjoy this classic record.
Grace Under Pressure was first released in 1984 and is known for its darker sound and heavy themes. At the time, Rush were experimenting with new technology, including keyboards, electronic drums, and samples. The album reflects the stress and uncertainty of the era, with songs about fear, loss, and survival. Over the years, it has become a favorite among many Rush fans.
The new reissue features updated cover artwork created by original album designer Hugh Syme. The artwork keeps the spirit of the original design but gives it a fresh and modern look.
One of the biggest highlights of this release is a brand-new album mix by Terry Brown, the producer who worked with Rush on many of their classic albums. This new mix was personally requested by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, giving fans a chance to hear the album in a new way. The original album is also included as a 2025 remaster, available on CD for the first time.
For the first time ever, Geddy Lee has written liner notes for Grace Under Pressure. In these notes, he talks about the band’s memories of making the album, working with producer Peter Henderson, and how their sound was changing during that period.
Another major feature of the Super Deluxe Edition is the complete live concert from Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, recorded on September 21, 1984. This is the first time the full concert has been officially released as both a live album and a concert film. Fans can enjoy classic songs like Distant Early Warning, Red Sector A, Tom Sawyer, YYZ, and 2112. The Blu-ray includes high-quality audio options such as Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 5.1.
The box set also includes many exclusive collectibles, such as a light-up display, a replica tour book, a concert ticket replica, a backstage pass, photos, and a poster from the Toronto show. All items are packed in a premium lift-top box, making it perfect for collectors.
Fans can pre-order the album in multiple formats, including CD, vinyl, digital, and Dolby Atmos editions. There is also a separate release of the 1984 Toronto concert for streaming video platforms.
This special reissue arrives just three months before Rush begin their “Fifty Something Tour”, which will include 58 dates and start with four shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
For Rush fans, this Super Deluxe Edition is a great way to revisit one of the band’s most powerful and meaningful albums.
