Jon Bon Jovi confirms upcoming shows are not a farewell tour

Jon Bon Jovi has officially confirmed that the band’s upcoming 2026 “Forever Tour” is not a farewell tour. After taking more than three years off due to Jon’s serious vocal cord surgery, the rock legend says he’s finally ready to hit the stage again — and this time, it’s all about gratitude and joy, not goodbyes.

The tour will kick off in July 2026, starting with several shows at Madison Square Garden in New York. The band first announced four nights there, but because of huge demand, they’ve already added two more. Bon Jovi will also perform massive stadium shows in Dublin (Croke Park), Edinburgh (Murrayfield Stadium), and London (Wembley Stadium).

Jon recently spoke on the How to Fail with Elizabeth Day podcast, where he shared that this tour is about celebrating life and music after a tough few years. He said,

“I’m not doing this for the applause, I’m not doing it for the money, I’m not doing it for the fame. I just want to feel that joy again.”

He also made it clear that this isn’t a “goodbye” run:

“I don’t think this is anywhere near a farewell tour. These shows are going to be filled with joy, gratitude, and humility.”

Bon Jovi admitted that in the past, the band toured so much that it sometimes burned them out. Now, he wants to do things differently — fewer shows, but more meaningful ones.

Alongside the tour, Bon Jovi have also released “Forever (Legendary Edition)”, a special version of their latest album. It includes collaborations with artists like Bruce Springsteen, Robbie Williams, and Lainey Wilson — a sign that the band is still eager to experiment and evolve.

Jon Bon Jovi’s recovery wasn’t easy. After surgery in 2022 to repair his vocal cords, he faced the possibility that he might never tour again. But after years of therapy and training, he says his voice is strong enough to take on the stage once more.

For fans, this isn’t just another concert series — it’s a comeback story. Bon Jovi’s return marks a moment of hope and celebration, showing that resilience and passion can bring even the biggest rock icons back to where they belong: in front of a crowd, singing their hearts out.

So, don’t call it a farewell — call it a new beginning. Bon Jovi are back, stronger, wiser, and ready to remind the world why rock still lives on.
