Known for his masterclass acting skills in movies such as Fight Club, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and a few more, Brad Pitt has been delivering the audience what they need since 1987, and now, he’s known as one of Hollywood’s biggest faces.
Brad Pitt has been on camera since a very young age and when he was just 22, in 1986, he was asked where he sees himself in ten years, after talking about his role in Dallas and Another World, in an interview with Tiger Beat.
“In ten years, I’ll be 32,” Pitt said. “I hope I am married with some Brad Jrs. I would like to be in a position like Kevin Costner. He’s on top and respected as an actor. I just want to be a respected actor. I want to make people feel things like how I feel when I go to the movies. I would like to have my own production company.”
Guess who Brad Pitt was by the year 1996, he was a mega-star. He was featured in Hollywood’s biggest films and he had already achieved his goals and dreams when he was 32.
In 2001, Brad Pitt co-founded “Plan B Entertainment” with Jennifer Aniston and Kristin Hahn. Brad already had good taste in everything and his taste in music was impeccable too.
Brad knows his music, in 2021 he purchased Studio Miravel with the producer Damien Quintard. When Brad reopened the studio, some special guests showed up in the opening ceremony and they were The Cranberries, AC/DC, and Pink Floyd.
This pretty much gives away the idea of what kind of music Pitt loves right? His taste differs from classical to rock ‘n’ roll, but it was revealed that Brad Pitt’s favorite musician of all time was George Winston, who passed away in June 2023.
Brad Pitt will never forget his true musical hero, but he has fallen in love with many other artists throughout the years. During an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 1998, the Fight Club star was asked about who his favorite musicians were.
“I’ll give you a few, Neil Young… Bob Marley…Clapton,” Pitt named three artists that year, and a year later, he revealed that Radiohead was one of his loving British bands to the Rolling Stones.
“What is so important about Radiohead is that they are the Kafka and the Beckett of our generation,” Pitt opined. “Thom Yorke and the rest of Radiohead are precisely that. What comes out in them, I don’t think, is anything they could actually articulate, but I would certainly say that it’s that which we all know is true somewhere when we’re in our deepest sleep. That is their importance, and this movie hits on the same level.”
Radiohead had released their ‘OK Computer’ and was working on ‘Kid A’, which became one of their best albums.
Pitt starred in the movie Johnny Suede by Tom DiCillo in 1991, where he got a chance to meet with Nic Cave, the lead singer of Bad Seeds. That became the very beginning of their friendship.
The duo shared their interest and quickly became best friends, and their friendship has remained strong for almost three decades now. In a 2022 interview, Cave revealed his bond with Pitt and how his music captivated him.
“This is what it’s been like: I woke up this morning, made a coffee in my underwear and noticed that Brad was sitting there,” Cave said. “He started playing the guitar and sang one of my songs to me – ‘Palaces of Montezuma’ – and then Thomas Houseago walked in [in his pyjamas] and joined in.”
